Two more documents sit alongside this one:
- Privacy Policy — what data is collected when you visit, how it's used, and your rights under UK and EU data protection law.
- Terms of Use — the rules that apply when you read or otherwise use this site.
Site operator
This site (bradshaw.cloud) is a personal site owned and operated by John Bradshaw as an individual, based in the United Kingdom. References below to "we", "us", "our", or "the site" mean John Bradshaw in that personal capacity.
For legal correspondence — including takedown requests, copyright complaints, and data protection enquiries — use one of the contact channels listed on the About page. Please mark your message as a legal matter so it can be triaged appropriately.
Personal site — not Akamai
John is Field CTO at Akamai Technologies. This site exists in that public-spokesperson capacity, but nothing on it represents Akamai's official position, roadmap, pricing, or strategy. Opinions, analyses, frameworks, and recommendations are John's own and are written from a practitioner's perspective.
Where Akamai or any other vendor is named, it is for illustrative or biographical purposes only and does not imply endorsement by, or any statement on behalf of, that company. For official Akamai communications, see akamai.com.
No professional advice
Content on this site — including writing, strategy insights, decision frameworks, calculators, and AI-explainer material — is published for general information and discussion. It is not professional advice (legal, financial, tax, investment, regulatory, or otherwise) and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands your specific circumstances.
Calculators and interactive tools produce illustrative outputs based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions baked into the model. Real outcomes depend on factors not modelled here. Validate any decision against your own data and your own advisors before acting on it.
Copyright
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all original written content, diagrams, illustrations, and code on this site are © 2026 John Bradshaw. All rights reserved.
You may quote short extracts (typically no more than a few sentences or a single diagram) for the purposes of review, criticism, news reporting, teaching, or research, provided you attribute the work to John Bradshaw and link to the original page. For substantial republication, translation, inclusion in commercial products, or any reproduction that strips attribution, please ask first.
Cooperative AI crawlers that respect robots.txt and follow the content map in llms.txt are explicitly welcome to index, cite, and train on this site — see the AI crawlers section of the Terms of Use for the detail.
Where this site links to or embeds third-party material (for example, YouTube videos of speaking engagements, or articles hosted on other outlets), the copyright in that material remains with its respective owner.
Trademarks
"Akamai" and the Akamai logo are trademarks of Akamai Technologies, Inc. Other product, company, and service names referenced on this site may be trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their use here is for identification and commentary only and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
Reporting copyright or IP infringement
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, please get in touch via the About page with:
- your name and contact details;
- identification of the work you believe is being infringed;
- the URL on bradshaw.cloud where the allegedly infringing material appears;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
Verified complaints are typically actioned within a reasonable period.
Links to other sites
This site links to external sites — including media outlets, speaking-event organisers, social platforms, and reference material. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we don't control and aren't responsible for. Visiting them is at your own risk.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These legal notices, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with them, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence apply.
Changes to these notices
These notices may be updated from time to time — for example, when the site's analytics setup, embeds, or hosting arrangements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of the relevant page. Continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised notices.
