Long bio

John Bradshaw is Field CTO for EMEA at Akamai Technologies, where he works with enterprise customers across Europe and the Middle East on cloud infrastructure, edge computing and AI inference. Before that he spent his career on the buying side: as Head of Cloud at WPP he held P&L ownership of a $70M annual cloud spend, led a $300M transformation programme, and grew a global team from 8 to 150 in 18 months while cutting operational costs by around half. Earlier roles include Technical Director for EMEA and APAC at Skytap, and solutions architecture at a hyperscaler cloud provider and a global collaboration platform. He publishes open decision frameworks, diagrams and calculators at bradshaw.cloud, and speaks regularly to CIO, CFO and CISO audiences across the region.

Practicalities

  • Most conference talks are given in his Akamai capacity, so those bookings route through Akamai’s communications team. Send the enquiry here either way and it gets passed on — there is no second form to fill in.
  • Travels from Scotland; comfortable across Europe and the Middle East.
  • Slides supplied as PDF or 16:9 deck, typically a week ahead.
  • Standard AV only: HDMI or USB-C, a lapel or handheld mic, confidence monitor if there is one.
  • Happy to be recorded and for the recording to be published.
  • Speaks as a practitioner rather than delivering corporate messaging. Views are his own.

Four weeks' notice is enough for a keynote, a week for a panel. Fees, travel and anything else practical are handled in the enquiry.
